The Professional Musicians, Local 47 Archives Department is dedicated to preserving and maintaining contract files for a variety of engagements. We have Phonographic, Motion Picture/TV Film, Commercial, Videotape, Radio, Local 767 (pre-amalgamation) contracts as well as membership applications and assumption agreements. These documents and reference materials available for your research needs. Although our archives are not accessable to the public, research is available through the archive department (see "Research" section below for more information). Library Hours: Mon-Fri 10am - 12 noon, 2pm - 4pm Materials are available for your on-site enjoyment. For a list of materials available, click here. To be able to use the library, all you have to do is deposit your driver's license with the Archivist at the EMD office. An item can be checked out of the library to be read on the premises. Your driver's license will be returned to you when you return the item. We accept donations of music-related books to the library. Please write "Donated by (your name and date)" on the inside cover and mail or bring to the Secretary's office, Professional Musicians, Local 47, 817 Vine St., Hollywood, CA 90038. Research Research is available through the Archive Department on a limited basis. Fees: $25/hour with a three-hour minimum Payment must be received prior to research. Local 47 members receive up to one hour of complimentary consultation time to determine the extent of effort necessary to fulfill your request. When making requests for document research, the Archive Department needs as much information as possible about your requested item for the inquiry to be successful.
