The Stockton Symphony is California’s third-oldest professional orchestra, whose season includes five pairs of Classics Concerts, a Pops series, and two pairs of Steppin’ Out concerts for fourth and fifth graders.

Music Director Peter Jaffe will enter his sixteenth season with the Stockton Symphony in 2010-2011. He served for fourteen seasons as resident conductor at the Aspen Music Festival and is in increasing demand as a guest conductor. Maestro Jaffe has been credited with launching a period of sustained artistic growth.

RockStars Music Studios is a lessons studio that specializes in a fun and creative way to learn music. Teachers must have extensive knowledge of Jazz, Rock, Blues, and the ability to excite your students about the instrument they are learning. Experience in teaching is a REQUIRED. Must be willing to teach in line with the philosophy of our company as it has brought much success with our students. This is a long term position that requires a steady, reliable person.

This position is available two days per week, in Orange County. All applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute during non-traffic hours. SEEKING INSIDE SALES PERSON TO SELL TOUR PROMOTION CAMPAIGN

Seeking an inside-salesperson to sell tour promotion campaigns to independent and unknown musicians, bands, and singers. The salesperson will contact these people (using the web, and also the leads we provide), offer our free info to them, obtain their CD and marketing pieces, and step them through the different booking campaigns that are available. You'll receive sales help in the form of general sales advice, specific sales techniques pertinent to our campaigns, not to mention web promotion, help from interns that you can select, and a radio promotion company name that is known by more indie bands than any other in the world. This is a 25% full-commission sales position (no base salary); Campaigns start at $4750, so commissions start at $1188, and are paid every two weeks. Our top salesperson made over $80,000 in commission for 2008 on a part-time flexible schedule. Mostly outbound phone calls and emails to artists. No contacting venues (or going to venues) required. Must work from our Santa Monica office Monday through Friday (five days) at least 20 hours/wk. Full-time is available too for those that want to start out faster and make more. Mid-day, afternoon or evening shifts available; work anytime between 10am and 7pm, and you can change them at any time. Must currently live in the Los Angeles area (no relocations). Adjunct/Part-Time Applied Music Instructor

Position Description: The Department of Music, Radio & Television at Long Beach City College is seeking individuals to serve as temporary/part-time faculty. Qualified applicants will be included in a faculty pool to provide applied lessons as the need arises. Possible assignments include woodwinds (oboe, clarinet, and bassoon), brass (trumpet, horn, and tuba), strings (violin, viola), percussion, guitar, voice, and piano.

Required Qualifications: 1. Master’s in music OR Bachelor’s in music AND Master’s in humanities OR Hold a valid credential to teach in the discipline AND
2. Evidence of a sensitivity, understanding, and ability to manage the classroom
environment and effectively provide instruction to community college students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

Desirable Qualifications:
· Demonstrated competence in teaching and/or teaching experience preferably at the community college level.
· Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of academic skills.
· Evidence of an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Salary: Salary range of $47.43 - $62.16 per hour is commensurate with academic preparation.
