A year later, he took Broadway by storm and scored a Tony Award for his ground-breaking musical A Chorus Line. During his illustrious career, Hamlisch won three Academy Awards, four Emmys, a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony, one of only 11 people in the world to receive all four of the prestigious entertainment industry awards. Mr. Levee, born July 8, 1950, is survived by his mother Mildred, brother Phil, son David, daughter Marissa Martinez and granddaughters Maya and Gwen Levee. The concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Thursday, Feb. 23, will be dedicated to Lorin's memory and the orchestra will perform Ravel's "Le Jardin Féerique" from "Mother Goose" in his honor.
