Contractor Must be hired in addition to a Leader if more than 10 musicians are used on a session. The Contractor is paid no less than 150% of applicable base scale for the session.

---Rules  
Minimum Call 1 hour
Overtime Paid on all work performed after 6 hours of any work beyond a 7-hour time span. The overtime rate shall be 150% of base scale, pro-rated in 1/2 hour segments.
Breaks Breaks (rest periods) shall be 10 minutes each hour and may be accumulated. A rest period may not be scheduled sooner than 30 min after the start of a session nor later than 90 minutes after the start of a session. A meal break must be scheduled no later than 5 hours after the start of a session.
Doubling First double ...................................................25% of basic scale
each additional double ...................................10% of basic scale
Stacking 50% of basic scale per overdub
Cartage $30 each for harp, timp, or keyboard; $6 each for accor dion, amps, bari sax, bass sax, chimes, contrabass clarinet, contrabassoon, drums, marimba, string bass, tuba, vibes, or cello.
Form A Form B-5 (Demonstration record, Audio only) must be filed on all sessions.
Additonal Use ANY use of material recorded at a demonstration recording session for any purpose not specified shall require execution of the appropriate agreement with the American Federation of Musicians or, when applicable (e.g., Limited Pressing Recordings), with Local 47. Payment for any such use shall always be considered a new use and shall be at the full amount required for that use, with NO CREDIT for any amounts paid for the demonstration recording session.
Demo Use

A Demonstration Recording (Film,CD or Video Tape) is to be used exclusively for the purpose of recording a composition, an arrangement, and/or and artist or ensemble for personal use and study and/or for presentation to producers, employers, contractors, agents, purchasers, or institutions for the purpose of: 1) promoting the composition(s) or arrangement(s) recorded; and/or 2) obtaining employment for the performer(s) or other advancement (e.g., for admission to an educational institution, or for a scholarship or award).
It is not to be released for sale in ANY quantity, nor to be used for any other purpose not specified here without permission of Local 47.

Music Prep 50% of the rates set forth for those services in the current Federation Sound Recording Labor Agreement.
Late Payment Late Payment charges of 5% will be made after fifteen working days if mosicians have not been paid. An additional 5% will be charged on the total for each additional fifteen working days the payments are late.
Upgrades Upgrades from a demo to any other product must be paid at no less than 100% of base scale for that product. There is no pro-rata or any other deduction for an upgrade from a demo. (See Rules and Regulations sec: 8)

2. Multiple Parts 50% for second and each additional track
3. Leader/Contractor: Leader, contractor or single musician shall receive not less than 150% of base scale. If twelve or more musicians are employed a contractor is required.
4. Sweetening

b) Original music must have been recorded in Local 47's jurisdiction
5. Synthesizers $80.00 (f) Music Preparation 50% Of National Phonograph rate

Overtime To be prorated in one-half hour increments
Premium Time 150% on holidays only; holidays per National Agreement
Finished product 7 1/2 minutes per hour
Doubling 25% for the first double, 10% for each double thereafter. All other provisions as per Local 47 Wage Scales and Rules and Regulations (see pages 2 & 24)
Rest Period 10 minutes per hour
Cartage A cartage fee of $30.00 for large instruments (harp, timpani, etc.) and $10.00 each for medium sized instruments (amplifiers, drums, string bass, baritone sax, etc.)
Upgrade In the event such limited pressings exceed 10,000, an upgrade payment
of 100% of National scale will be paid to the musicians who participated in such recordings. Payments made under the terms of the Limited Pressing Agreement will be credited against such upgrade.
Chamber Music (a) Fifteen minutes of recorded music allowed per hour
(b) One musician per part
(c) Maximum of twenty-four musicians
(d) No sweetening or overdubbing
(e) Prior approval of Local 47 Board necessary
