Members of AFM Local 47 and The Animation Guild (TAG) IATSE 839 spent a busy Saturday afternoon volunteering at the Glassell Station post office on May 10 as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers’ 2025 food drive.
Held nationwide each year in collaboration with the USPS, Labor Community Services and United Way and the AFL-CIO, the drive has delivered more than 1.82 billion pounds of food over the past 30 years. This year’s food drive alone collected over 1 million pounds of food for those in need.
Thank you to all of our volunteers — AFM Local 47 members Eric Eckstrand, Geoff Ziegler, VP Marc Sazer, S/T Gail Kruvand, Communications Director Linda Rapka (team captain); Animation Guild members Mark Estrada, Ysty Veluz, Mike Wodkowski and Bridget Ore; and community volunteer Lucius Gallo — and to everyone who donated to help #StampOutHunger!
Stay tuned to more volunteering opportunities — including to help sort all the food collected on May 10 at the sorting warehouse in Bell — and action alerts from AFM Local 47:
