General Membership Meeting: July 25, 2022

Open to all AFM Local 47 members in good standing.

On the Agenda (subject to change):
– Presentation of 50 Year Pins
– Election to Fill Vacancy on Election Board
– Voting on Resolutions to Amend the Bylaws
– Officer Reports
– Contract Action Team (CAT) Presentation on Motion Picture Negotiation
– Old and New Business

Members will vote to fill a vacancy on the Election Board, as well as on two Resolutions to amend the Bylaws. The text of the Resolutions may be accessed by logging in to your member account (once logged in, click the “Scales and Documents” tab). Printed copies are available upon request by contacting the Overture Office at 323.993.3162 or emailing overture@afm47.org, and will also be shared at the meeting.

Members will also hear from the Contract Action Team (CAT) about our new Fair Share For Musicians campaign, a grassroots national campaign by AFM members demanding a fair contract for work performed on streaming films and TV shows.

Fifty members constitutes a quorum to conduct business at General Membership Meetings. All Regular Members and Life Members may vote; Inactive Life Members are ineligible to vote per Article IV, Section 11. Inactive Life Members wishing to vote may do so by changing their membership to Life Member status by 4:30 p.m. the business day prior to the day voting takes place.

COVID-19 Safety Rules for Attendance at In-Person Meetings*

Anyone entering the building will need to be up to date with their Covid-19 vaccine. Up to date means fully vaccinated and boosted.

Please be prepared to show photo ID and proof of up-to-date vaccination, which includes any of the following:

(a) COVID-19 vaccination record card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (“CDC”) or World Health Organization Yellow Card) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided and date last dose administered).

(b) A photo of a vaccination record card as a separate document;

(c) A photo of a vaccination record card stored on a phone or electronic device;

(d) Documentation of COVID-19 vaccination from a health care provider; and

(e) Digital record that includes a QR code that when scanned by a SMART Health Card reader displays to the reader client name, date of birth, vaccine dates and vaccine type.

Masking whenever possible is strongly encouraged.

Members who do not have, or who prefer not to show, proof of up to date vaccination, or who do not wish to sit indoors, will be invited to attend the meeting in an outdoor seating area. All attendees will be able to hear the meeting proceedings and participate in voting.
