Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up in a musical family, in a household filled with the joy and love of music. Our family also valued social justice, political activism and contributing to community.
As a violinist working here in Los Angeles, I enjoyed a long career performing on innumerable film, TV, awards shows, sound recording and other media projects, as well as years as a tenured member of the Pasadena Symphony and performances on almost every concert stage and venue in our region. I was also able to contribute to our community through years of teaching and playing chamber music.
My history of activism is rooted deeply in committee work — bargaining committees, organizing committees, AFM Convention committees, political engagements in City Hall, in Sacramento and Washington, D.C. and more. I’ve served as Delegate and committee Chair at AFM Conventions, and as a Delegate to the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor.
After decades of rank-and-file leadership through the Recording Musicians Association and three years as Vice President of Local 47 I am honored to be tasked with the Presidency of this great Local. "I am thrilled to be able to work to advance musicians’ interests in this new role. We’ve assembled a stellar leadership team, and look forward with optimism and excitement to helping our musical community build a strong and thriving future together!"
