Share our new “Schoolhouse Rock!” inspired video that illustrates how we can do “Better Than Before” when it comes to covering everybody!
Today we join with the California Nurses Association to launch the second in a series of “Schoolhouse Rock!” inspired music videos created by Los Angeles musician Clifford Tasner in support of the Healthy California Act- SB 562, which establishes a Medicare-for-all type healthcare system in California.
Our retro-themed video titled “Better Than Before,” explains how we can build on the gains of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) while doing even Better Than Before by getting greedy insurers out of the picture and creating a Medicare-for-All system in California. With the GOP narrowly failing to kill the ACA, now more than ever we have the opportunity to go on the offensive and offer a positive and proven vision for healthcare. That vision is SB 562, the Healthy California Act.
The insurance industry has already started a propaganda campaign to confuse and mislead the public about the bill and distract them from serious problems in the current system. This video can help your friends and families see through the industry attacks and learn how they and their families will benefit from passing the Healthy California Act, SB562.
Following in the tradition of Schoolhouse Rock videos which taught many of us life-long lessons as kids, Guaranteed Healthcare Rocks! was produced to be shared far and wide so that this fun but powerful message can spread throughout the state.
With the Healthy California Act (SB 562), we have the power to get the insurance companies OUT of our healthcare system for good! Together we can create a system that empowers patients to choose their own doctors and supports doctors determining healthcare treatments in consultation with their patients. Together we can put an end to the insurance industry’s sickening profiteering off of patients’ illness and suffering. Together we can guarantee healthcare for all Californians!
