The Pasadena Symphony Orchestra has been one of the top performing symphonic ensembles in southern California for 80 years.
With extensive credits in the film, television, recording and orchestral industry, the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra is comprised of some of the most gifted and sought after musicians in the world.
Musicians are currently in the midst of negotiations and are working hard to achieve a new and fair employment contract.
The Echo Society, a collaboration between composers, musicians, and other performing and visual artists, has entered into a collective bargaining agreement with Local 47 to cover its upcoming concert: “V.” Continue reading

The Local 47 Executive Board approved amendments to the Bargaining Unit and Ratification Policy on July 19, 2016, in accordance with the Electronic Voting Resolution passed at the 2016 AFM Convention.
The policy may be found in the members section of the Local 47 website at afm47.org (login required), or from the Secretary’s Office.
This month, ProMusicDB took a big step on behalf of musicians everywhere and filed the platform’s technical specifications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which describe how ProMusicDB can preserve, protect, and authenticate the digital identity of music creators and musical works in the digital realm.
These technical tasks are accomplished in the form of an artist-contributed, non-profit music credits database and digital archive, to be created by musical artist contribution for the public good, forever. Continue reading
